A Riverside Oasis
Island Safari Lodge is set on a 300 acre private island reserve, just 10 km from Maun Airport.
Situated on the banks of the Thamalakane River under a canopy of beautifully lush and green Okavango trees, the lodge overlooks an expansive natural floodplain which, when not flooded, is used by the community as subsistence lands for farming and grazing.
This coming together of two worlds combine traditional uses of the nearby cultural urbanisation and an abundance of birdlife, topped by the occasional sightings of crocodile or hippo.
The lodge offers a tranquil bush setting, complemented by the river view, a swimming pool and the iconic call of the African fish eagle.
