"We took a mokoro day trip from the boat launch, and it was top-notch. The mokoro polers were so knowledgable."

Get Close to Nature

Departing from Island Safari Lodge, your excursion will head north 45 minutes on water to an area known as The Boro. The boat transfer is dependent on water levels and transfers may be conducted by vehicle should the water levels not be high enough to access by boat.

On arrival at The Boro you will be transferred into mokoro dugout canoes. Guided by local qualified guides and polers you now enter into low poling mode for the rest of the trip. The rest of the day is spent poling and exploring the channels of the Okavango Delta with its array of aquatic life and breathtaking beauty.

This experience brings you close to nature as you enjoy the tranquility of the waterways, sounds of nature all around and wildlife encounters.
